A distribution company needed additional protected space for goods and materials moving through its facility. With warehouse space already under pressure, the challenge was to create useful covered capacity outdoors while maintaining the fast, unrestricted access required for everyday distribution operations.
Making Better Use of the Yard
The canopy transformed an existing area between shipping containers into practical covered storage. The containers provide additional storage along each side, while the large clear-span area between them creates valuable space for pallets, goods and materials awaiting movement.
Designed for Constant Movement
The open-front configuration allows forklifts and material-handling equipment to move directly in and out of the covered area. With no internal columns obstructing the floor, goods can be loaded, unloaded and repositioned efficiently throughout the working day.
More Capacity When It Is Needed
The completed structure gives the company additional storage capacity without requiring a permanent warehouse extension. Inventory can remain protected from changing weather conditions while staying close to the main operation, providing useful flexibility during busy periods and fluctuations in stock levels.
