Yes. Buildings can be engineered to meet the applicable wind, snow, seismic and building code requirements for your project location.
Can PE stamped engineering drawings be provided?
Yes. Where required, we can supply a complete engineering package with drawings reviewed and stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer.
What’s the difference between a standard and engineered building?
Standard buildings are supplied with reference design values suitable for many applications. Engineered buildings are specifically designed for your site and certified to meet the required local building code.
How are wind, snow and seismic loads determined?
Design loads are calculated using the applicable building code together with your project’s location, elevation, exposure and environmental conditions.

What foundation options are available?
Fabric structures can be installed on concrete slabs, strip footings, piers, retaining walls, shipping containers and other engineered foundation systems depending on the project requirements.
Can the building be installed on an existing concrete slab?
Yes. Existing concrete slabs can often be used provided they are suitable for the required structural loads and anchor system.
How much site preparation is required?
The amount of site preparation depends on the project. Ground conditions, drainage, access and the chosen foundation system all influence the work required before installation.
How long does installation take?
Installation time varies depending on the building size, complexity and site conditions. Smaller structures may be completed within a few days, while larger projects generally take one to several weeks.
Can the building be relocated or extended in the future?
Yes. Every Sheltirx fabric structure is modular, allowing additional bays to be added as your business grows. The structure can also be dismantled, relocated and reinstalled if operational requirements change.

What fabric membrane options are available?
